Bentonite can be mixed with parasiticides and fungicidals as support carrier to fix the product to the leaves. In biological cultivations bentonite, a natural product inhibits the action of fungus and parasites helping to eliminate chemical products. This happens especially if bentonite is mixed with other elements in the biodynamic cultivation of grape wines helping the fight against oidium. In liquid and solid fertilizers it is used as a fixing carrier and to control the release of nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus. It also contributes to the dehydration and the agglomeration of sludge and manure. It is also used in the compounds and mixtures of soil for gardening as an absorbent of humidity and of the fertilizing substances that are slowly released to the plant.
